ARS, established in 1996 by Dr. Joseph G. Young, has rapidly grown to become Australasia's leading and most respected non-government provider of health, medical and environmental physics services. Our clients include major resource companies, universities, leading hospitals and health networks as well as government departments and agencies.
We are based in Melbourne in a new, purpose-built facility equipped with a chemistry laboratory, a counting laboratory incorporating high resolution gamma ray spectrometry and gross alpha / beta / gamma radiation counting systems, and a liquid scintillation counter. The new premises also boast two radiation monitor calibration facilities, a radioactive source download/upload facility and a fully equipped thirty two seat lecture theatre.
ARS is the first privately owned company to be awarded NATA accreditation for calibration of protection level radiation monitors. (NATA accreditation No. 16789)
