Training
Working with radiation sources presents many complex problems and safety issues. To ensure your organisation is safe and compliant, all personnel working with radioactive material or radiation apparatus need to understand the risks involved.
Australian Radiation Services’ radiation training courses can be tailored to the needs of your organisation, from a basic 4 hour workshop to a more complex course delivered over several days. Courses can be held at the ARS laboratory in Blackburn, Victoria, or we’re happy to come to you!
All our instructors are practising health physicists, medical physicists or environmental scientists. All of our courses are approved by Commonwealth, State and Territory Regulators. Our courses are recognised by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency, Radiation Safe, Department of Health (VIC); Radiation Protection Unit, Department of Health and Human Services (TAS); Hazardous Materials and Radiation Section, Department of Environment Climate Change and Water (NSW) and Radiation Health Unit, Department of Health (QLD).
